extra Requests info:

Q. What kind of work do you do?

A:
1. Fan Art - anime, book character, cartoon/animation character, comic character, whatever.
2. Original character - one of yours, if you'd like. I'll need descriptions and/or visual references.
3. My character - if you fancy one of my own characters, I can do an image of them for you.
4. Character/logo design - got a character or logo in your head you want drawn? I'll do this too. I love designing characters.
5. Nudes - I don't mind, as long as it's not smut, hentai or porn. Light Yaoi or Yuri is fine.
6. Illustration- For books, magazines, comics.. whatever!
7. Other - have an idea of something you want I haven't listed? E-mail me and we'll talk.

Q. What materials do you use?
A. Pencil and Ink pieces are done on 9x12" Bristol, 100lb weight; Marker pieces on 8.5x11" 50lb acid-free paper; Watercolor pieces are done on 11x15" watercolor paper.

Computer pieces are done completely on the computer. I have a glorious printer (Epson Stylus 1280 ink-jet, wide format; 6 color inks), and will make you a print of your work at 8.5x11" size.

Q. What do you accept as payment?
A. I accept checks, money orders and paypal. Cash sent at own risk. I only accept monetary compensation for my work. For paypal payments I calculate in the transaction fee in addition to the commission total, not including shipping. The fee is often quite minimal.

Q. How do you set prices?
A. You pay me for a service, and that is creating art for you. Now, good art can be very expensive, but I try to be reasonable in what I charge for my work. More or less, you are paying for the time and effort I spend on a piece, and the image you get to keep is proof of that service. I do also take into account my supplies when I determine prices, but in the end it's the labor that counts most.

Please also factor in that I work with you all the way, with sketches, progress pieces and email communication. I have a very good track record of keeping in touch with my clients, even when I am in a slump and can't work. Most artists do not offer this service, they just do your picture and send it to you. I like to set myself apart from the crowd. I want to do my best to make sure you are happy with your image.

Q. Why is your work so expensive?
A. I don't consider my work expensive. I am a college graduate with a full time job, and I always do my best work when working on a piece. Good art costs money, and on a whole my prices are far lower than they could (or probably should) be.

Q. I found someone who charges less, I'll just commission them.
A. And I hope you get all you paid for.

Q. Do you offer discounts for buying multiple pieces/bulk?
A. I am not a superstore. Do you think because you ordered 5 pieces it'll take less time and effort for each of those pieces than just 1?

Q. Do you offer refunds/a money back policy?
A. When you commission me you are paying for my time and my services. If you waste that time or those services you have wasted my valuable time, which I often don't have a whole lot of. Paying me is putting me in a contract to serve you; whether you take advantage of that service is up to you. Thus I do not offer any refund policies.

Please note that with all images I retain all image rights, and may chose to sell prints of your commission at a later date. If you have a webpage and want to display the image on it, feel free. However, I would appreciate a link back to my site and credit for the image's creation. I reserve the right to display your commission on my own webpage and to make prints of that image to promote myself in a portfolio.

If you intend to use the image for commercial use I require an extra fee. This is because I will need to sign the image rights over to you. For individuals the fee starts at $50. (Depending on the complexity of the piece and it's intended use will determine its actual price.)

You can not legally use my work (even if you commissioned it) to make prints, put on t-shirts, posters, anything, unless you have my written permission. The only way you get that is by paying a waiver fee.

*Pictures with a star/asterisk (*) next to their title are ones I do not hold the copyright to. They were probably done as a request with a paid waiver fee so the commissioner could use the image to put on products, or something. I can not be held responsible for what they do with the image.
