Here's a pencil sketch. I added the circle and text on the computer.

On a new layer, made a new clean line version with the Ink brush in a light sepia tone.

Using the watercolor brush on wet rake and smooth paper, I added in skin tones.

To give darker values I decided to use blue insted of greyish pink or orange.

Then I smoothed them out a bit with the pure water brush.

Then I started on the shirt.

Layed in a few different values of green...

then a few values of blue to make the shirt more snazzy.

Then I took the pure water brush again and smoothed it all out a bit.

Added a few darker areas with the watercolor brush on a darker blue and smoothed out just a tidge with the pure water brush.

Started laying in values for his jeans. They're blue! Go fig.

Added some darker values, smoothed/ blended a bit.

Did the zippers on his legs, started on his wings.

Darker values on his wings; no smoothing with water yet.

Finished his wings, started on shoes with brown and blue.

Finished the shoes with the pure water brush and a touch of lighter watercolor.

Here I've begun to layer in values in this hair. I started very light.

Some darker values in there. Made sure to leave some areas white so they'd be extra shiney.

Pure water brush on the hair to blend it a bit.

They eyes! The eyes! Pretty self explanatory.

A few highlights on his glasses to make them stand out more.

Back to that circle thing, but in Photoshop.

Using the various rotation and palette arc tools I created text that fitted to the oval.

I then cut out the middle of the oval so it's now a ring.

And filled the inside with a circular gradient.

Then I used a fun filter, Distort - Wave.

And erased a bit of the middle behind his head.

Using the Blending Options, I added an outer glow to the text and oval to make it stand out a bit more.

Then I added some highlighting effects to his hair and glasses.

Added my signature and he's done.
